I was fifteen years old when Austin invited me to my first concert. I asked my mom, actually begged my mom. She said no about a million times. Then Austin (being the negotiator he is) somehow convinced her. We took an RV to St. Louis with a bunch of friends and had so much fun (one of the best days I've lived) Halfway through the concert Austin asked me to be his girlfriend. Ahhh I can still hear his sweet voice in my head! I was so HAPPY! We kissed and squeezed each other the rest of the night.  Now we are sitting here waiting for this concert to start again only this time we have been together for 6 years. Life is awesome. Thanks for keeping life exciting Austin Lee.
I guess this is growing up.

Ps- I'll add pics later, blogger won't let me upload from my phone!!

A couple Saturday's ago we filmed for Slide the City.

I wish I could say it was an awesomely fun day but if I'm being honest, it wasn't all that fun for us filming.

It was about a million degrees outside and trying to get the shots we needed was crazy when everything was so fast pace!

I was running around everywhere trying to find the people I needed for shots and trying to catch the candid is harder than one would think. I was trying to handle both canons while dal and Mav had the go pros and Austin flew the drone.

And the drone totally freaked out towards the end of the day! We don't know if it was because of the metal building or the wind (probably both) but it freaked out and didn't want to land! Austin somehow figured out how to safely land it without it crashing. He's such a pro! I could tell he was stressed out, but he's always so positive.

I knew I would need an extra something for the promo, so I asked a break dance team I'm friends with if they would dance and they were totally down! And I'm SO glad they came! They made everything so light and fun! Everything was crazy for a while and I was running around like a crazy person but they were so patient and understanding the whole time!

Overall it was fun day and a good experience. Austin and I definitely sleep like little babies that night! Check out our video down below!

I have absolutely fallen in love with dresses from Roolee Boutique. They are cute, comfy, modest and they look amazing on camera. I have been getting questions about the floral dresses I wear so I'm excited to be collaborating with them and showing my Midwest friends where I find these gems! Since they are located in Utah, I purchase all of my clothing on their website! They ship quickly and always answer your emails when you need help. These are just some awesome people. So if you'd like to check them out here is their website:

Also you can follow them on instagram and Facebook. I am ALWAYS creeping on their insta because every picture they post is SO good and their models are beautiful! Let me know if you have any questions!

I got off work the last day of school and was jumping for joy because we were soon going to be on our way to Florida for a little getaway.

I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE the feeling before a good road trip. We blasted our music and rolled the windows down. I love adventures with my best friend.

The first couple of days we had to ourselves which was actually very needed and then the McGee's and Forsyth's came down! It had been so long since we've seen our besties Nile and Brittany so it was nice catching up with them! Its so crazy to think that they already have two kids, like when did we all grow up?! I loved taking some family pics for them!

Only Brittany can look this good after having a baby a month ago?!

We mostly just all hung out and relaxed on the beach. I held baby Stella preeetty much the whole time. She was only a month old!! And of course, attempted to paddle board in the ocean. We fell so many times! Big fat Fail!

We had a devotional on the beach with all of the cousins and it was such a spiritual experience. I love learning from the cousins. Even though they are close to my age, I feel like they have so much wisdom. We all have different situations and lifestyles so its nice we can all learn from each other and I think it honestly helps our testimonies grow. We talked a lot about how we all need to be a support system for each other and reach out to other people to make their day a little brighter. Sometimes I forget how much of an influence we can be. We need more good in the world. And I'm grateful that my family strives for that.

One good thing about this trip is that everyone is a photographer/videographer! So we all took turns taking pictures of each other on the beach! Man, that does come in handy!

I think we should make it a habit on going on at least one family vacation a year. Its so refreshing to be able to relax and get ready for the craziness of life. Austin and I sat by the beach and made a list of what all we wanted to accomplish this summer and year to come; which doesn't sound like fun but it actually motivates us! We always try to stay on the same page when it comes to this stuff. It's important. Life is what you make it :)
Anyways, I'm glad we got a little bit of a getaway before the craziness of summer starts!

Cruel Coincidence

I remember like it was yesterday. Austin and I were in our backyard, watering our plants, getting ready to meet up with our best friends who were visiting from out of town. We were wrapping things up when Austin got a call from his dad Rex. I didn't pay much attention because we talk to our parents all the time. We knew Tearnie and Connor were on their One Year Anniversary trip so when I had heard him on the phone mentioning her name I didn't think anything of it. Austin hung up the phone and just kind of stood there quietly for a while. I was about to walk inside our house when Austin grabbed my hand and told me that Tearnie was in a boating accident. He started to cry and I was so confused. He went on to say that Connor was struck by lightning and passed away.
I lost it. My mind went blank. My body numb.
I remember collapsing on the grass and sobbing. Austin pulled me up, we both got in the car and headed to Arkansas.

After a three hour drive that felt like eternity, we finally made it to the hospital. We immediately went to where Tearnie and the rest of the family were. Austin took his sister into his arms and just held her. Looking back I am so glad we went to the hospital because it was evident how much she needed one of her brothers there to comfort her. Their sibling bond is so strong.
In the hospital we said our last goodbyes to Connor. He looked so peaceful. The spirit was so strong in the room, we could all feel his presence.

The next few weeks all of our {the family's} days/nights were spent with Tearnie. Trying our best to comfort her and just do whatever we could to help this horrible situation a little less painful.
The funeral was absolutely perfect. So many people attended from all different backgrounds, it was really neat to see. It just showed how much Connor loved others and lived his life to the fullest. He was so passionate about everything he did. He loved the people around him and loved life fiercely. I think we can all let him be our inspiration and follow in his example.

I think we can all agree on the fact that life isn't fair sometimes. We may not always understand why things happen the way they do. Why Heavenly Father would take Connor away from his beautiful wife, family and friends, but I have faith that Heavenly Father must have needed him more than we know, and that someday, we will finally see the big picture and understand. I also have faith that we will see Connor again. He may not be here on this earth anymore but his is still living. We will see him again, I have no doubt.

And to Tearnie- you are the strongest person I have ever known. To think about how much you have accomplished in a years time with so many trials, is incredible to say the least. I have no idea how you've done it, but I definitely look up to you as a role model.

Connor had a way of lighting up a room wherever he was. He made everyone laugh. He was hilarious! One of my favorite memories was when he made me cry my eyes out in Steak n Shake because I was laughing so hard at him. AND almost peed my pants in a restaurant in Kansas City because he was just so dang goofy! I am also glad we had one last family dinner with him. He pulled a prank on Austin with his old truck he had just got. And also stopping every 20 minutes on our road trip because he kept having to use the bathroom! I think I said "Connor STOP PEEING!" About a million times on that trip lol These are the kinds of memories we need to keep of him.
He has such a special spirit. One in a million. I can't wait to see him again someday. I feel honored to call him family. Love you CaCa.

Since its our three year anniversary I thought it would be fun to come up with some questions for us to both individually answer. I so loved reading Austin's answers! Happy three years babe!

1.What have you learned about yourselves as a couple? I have learned we can set goals and accomplish the ones most important to us but things change and goals change as we get further in life.
2.Getting married young?  I believe getting married young was the best thing for us. We knew that we wanted to be together forever and I think it got us a head start on life and our goals.
3.Best Moment? Best moment is always now:) I love everything we do and can't choose a best moment!
4.Worst Moment/Pet Peeve? Alex takes hours to get ready for bed while I'm trying to fall asleep!
5.What do you love about your spouse? I love how motivated she is and how she is passionate about everything she does. I love hearing how excited she is about shooting up coming weddings or how she loves the moments we captured with film. I also love hearing about her students she teaches and takes care of.
6.Little quirks your spouse has? Alex leaves half drank waters all around the house like the little girl in the movie Signs.
7.Funnest Date? Best dates are always the simple dates. I love going out and eating somewhere nice and talking about how life is going and things we can improve on. We are constantly measuring where we are and where we want to be.
8.What keeps the love alive? A way we keep our love going is to always do random exciting things to keep life interesting. We never have a dull boring moment. Another thing we do is to always set super high goals and do everything we can to achieve them, keeps life rolling fast and fun!
9.Advice for engaged couples? Have fun planning your wedding because it happens so fast! Also be excited! Marriage is a blast and it is what you make of it! Don't try and see that everything is perfect but try and make yourselves perfect.
10.Where do you see yourselves in 10 years? In 10 years I see ourselves with a few little kids and traveling a whole lot more and looking back and being amazing on how far we have come. Even three years has been awesome and I see no signs of any slowing down.

1.What have you learned about yourselves as a couple? I've learned that as a couple we never stop. We are constantly on the go, trying/learning new things and challenging ourselves with what  all we can do. We are also BIG into goals. We always write Down our goals, work our butts off to accomplish them and then it feels so good! Then we hustle even harder. (10X as Austin always says) I've also learned that he is my best friend. I have no idea what I would do without him and our dance parties everyday.
2.Getting married young? I am SO glad we got married young! I honestly can't imagine what the heck I would be doing right now if I wasn't spending everyday with my Austin Lee. People say "Don't get married young, you have to go and live your life." I'm sorry but what a load of garbage! I wouldn't be living if I wasn't married. Together we have accomplished more than have ever imagined and that wouldn't have been done individually.
3.Best Moment? Getting sealed in the Temple
4.Worst Moment/Pet Peeve? Hardest moment would have to be not being able to get pregnant.
5.What do you love about your spouse? Austin is the kindest most caring person on this planet. Anytime someone from church or a friend/family member needs help with doing something he always drops whatever he's doing and helps them. He has such a big heart and I appreciate that so much. And I also love his work ethic. He literally never stops (even in his sleep) Keeping up with him is exhausting sometimes but he has helped me become a stronger person. He knows what he wants, and he is willing to do anything to get it.
6.Little quirks your spouse has? He always sings in different types of voices, my personal favorite is his opera voice. I die of laughter every time! and he usually always spills my water that sits on the ottoman...
7.Funnest Date? Funnest Date would have to be our Blink 182 concert date! Or really any concert we go to is always a lot of fun. (Especially when Austin takes off his shirt and starts mashing and I usually get trampled!)
8.What keeps the love alive? I think just always growing together. Like we make sure we are always on the same path and have the same goals in mind and that's what keeps us excited for life! We also communicate a lot and always go on dates :)
9.Advice for engaged couples Communicate A LOT, always be on the same page, and if you're not- do whatever it takes to make it right. Sometimes you have to sacrifice but I feel like that's actually one of the biggest blessings in the end.
10.Where do you see yourselves in 10 years?  I see us having a big family, being financially successful, having lots of rental properties and also traveling a lot!

I love you Austin Lee. Three years down, forever to go!

1st Year Down

I am currently sitting in my condo in Florida, eating powdered-sugar donuts, listening to a movie that Austin and Nile are watching and I was thinking about how much I miss my middle school students.

I finished my first year of teaching and I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I have learned that the only "disability" a person can have is their attitude. My students have challenges and trials but that doesn't mean they hold back. I believe that they will become even more successful than imaginable because their situations have made them stronger. I hope that I have given them the confidence to feel like they can do whatever they want in life, no matter what the challenge is. And I am convinced that they have taught me so much more than I will ever teach them. I am so incredibly grateful for their loving hearts and their ability to make me smile every single day. I am going to miss them this summer but before I know it, it'll be time for school to start all over again :) Happy Summer Everyone!!

Coleton's Proposal

When Coleton called us four months ago and asked if we would be willing to help with his proposal idea for Jordan we (well maybe just me) jumped up and down with excitement!

We sat down and planned out every single little detail imaginable, and then we would rethink something and go back and plan it out again. It was so cute watching Coleton think of every little part of this proposal. It really showed his pure love for Jordan.

To say Coleton was nervous is an understatement!

He was over at our house a lot planning & helping us edit, and he always told Jordan he was taking a test for school. One night she called  and asked how his test went & he started freaking out! lol he was pacing our house and shaking like a dang leaf! Austin & I were trying so hard not to crack up. But really Coleton, how many "finals" can one person take for one semester?! Cracks me up!

So over these past four months we have been filming family members and putting together videos that were sent in of friends and family telling Jordan how much they love her & Coleton as a couple. (Not gonna lie, I cried every time we filmed a family member!) When Jordan walked outside to the balcony she watched the video and then after her father gave his blessing at the very end, thats when Coleton came out and got on one knee. It was the sweetest thing ever.

But everything turned out so perfect the night of the proposal. The only issue we had was the sunlight. Everything was suppose to go down at 7 o clock, but from my angle of filming- the sun was soooo harsh. So we made Ashton (her sis) stall until the lighting was better. So thanks Ashton!!

I feel so grateful that Coleton trusted us to help him with such a huge event in his life. I cherish the relationship I have with my clients and I love being able to document such life changing moments. I really truly believe that film is the closest thing you can get to reliving a moment and I think that's why I'm so passionate about what I do. This couple holds such a special place in our hearts and I know that they will be so incredibly happy together.

Here's the video of the proposal:
